Which are the biggest law exams in India for 5-year law?
The main national entrances for 5-year integrated LL.B. programmes are CLAT (Consortium NLUs), AILET (NLU Delhi), SLAT, LSAT—India, and MH CET Law, plus CUET UG for several central-university law programmes. TCR coaches CLAT, AILET and CUET with exam-specific strategy.

What is the age limit for a lawyer?
There is no upper age limit to practise as a lawyer after you qualify. For CLAT UG, the Consortium currently has no upper age limit (confirm the latest eligibility bulletin on consortiumofnlus.ac.in). Older state / university LL.B. rules that capped age at 20/22 for some programmes do not apply to current CLAT UG eligibility — always verify the live notification for your target exam.
Is there any negative marking in CLAT?
Yes. CLAT awards +1 for each correct answer and deducts 0.25 for each wrong answer. Unattempted questions carry no penalty. Mock analysis at TCR emphasises accuracy under this scheme.
Can I get admission to Delhi NLU through a CLAT score?
No. NLU Delhi does not accept CLAT. It admits through its own entrance — AILET. TCR runs AILET preparation alongside CLAT so students can attempt both.
What is the CLAT exam duration?
CLAT UG is a 2-hour exam with 120 MCQs across English, Current Affairs & GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques.
What are the minimum marks in CLAT to get a seat in any National Law University?
Cutoffs move every year with paper difficulty and the applicant pool. As a rough planning range, top NLUs often need very high normalised scores (students commonly talk about the mid–high 90s for General at the very top), while mid-tier NLUs close lower (often discussed around the 80s depending on category and year). Use recent counselling data and TCR mock projections rather than a fixed number.
After how many days of the CLAT exam do the answer keys get released?
The Consortium typically releases a provisional answer key within a few days of the exam (often discussed as about 5–6 days), followed by an objections window and then a final key. Exact timelines are announced each cycle on consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Will I be given rough sheets for the CLAT exam?
Yes. Rough sheets are provided in the exam hall for workings. TCR grand mocks practise under similar invigilated conditions so students are used to planning on rough paper within the two-hour clock.
