Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum data required to enrol a student, run a class, and stay compliant. Nothing sold, nothing shared with third parties for marketing. This page is written to be read — not to be a legal shield.
Who we are
TCR (“The Court Room”) is a Delhi-based law-entrance coaching institute operating three centres and an online programme. Our registered business address is 2nd Floor, D-223/1, Street No. 5, Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi 110092.
For anything in this document, the responsible person is Shivam Thakur, founder — reachable at support@tcredu.com.
What personal data we collect
Only what's needed to enrol, teach, and stay in touch with a student:
- Student name, class / stage, and target exam
- Parent name (for school-cluster programmes)
- Contact — phone (WhatsApp), email
- Programme, batch, and mode selected
- Payment identifiers from Razorpay (order ID, payment ID) — not card / UPI details
- WhatsApp / call log with our team while you're a student
We do not knowingly collect biometric data, health data, precise geolocation, or any special category of data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
How we use it
- To enrol you and share batch details
- To send you class updates, mock schedules, and results
- To send receipts and comply with tax / accounting requirements
- To respond to your WhatsApp / email enquiries
- To improve our programmes based on aggregated performance data
We never use your data for marketing to third parties. We never sell it. We do not use automated decision-making that materially affects you.
Payments — how the money moves
All online payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. TCR never sees or stores your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN. We only receive the outcome — success, failure, or pending — along with a payment reference.
Razorpay operates under RBI oversight and is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. See their own privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy.
Who can see your data
- The TCR team members directly involved in your enrolment and teaching
- Razorpay, for payment processing only
- Our email / WhatsApp service providers, only for the messages themselves
- Government authorities when legally compelled (tax, court order)
Nobody else. No advertising platforms, no data brokers.
How long we keep it
- Active students: for the duration of your programme + 12 months for continuity of support
- Payment records: 7 years, as required under Indian tax law
- Prospects who never enrolled: 24 months from last contact, then deleted
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act 2023 you can, at any time:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Request deletion (subject to statutory retention windows above)
- Nominate a person to act on your behalf
- Withdraw consent to marketing communications
Email support@tcredu.com with the request. We respond within 7 working days.
Security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Access inside TCR is role-limited and reviewed quarterly. No system is un-breachable — if a breach ever affects your data, we'll notify you and the Data Protection Board within 72 hours, as required.
A note for parents of minors
Our programmes serve students from Class 11 onwards. Where a student is under 18, a parent / guardian must complete the enrolment on their behalf. In that case, this policy governs the parent's data as well.
If your child under 18 has submitted personal data to us and you want it removed, email us and we will delete it inside 48 hours.
Changes to this policy
When we materially change this policy we'll email every current student and update the version number and effective date at the top of this page.
Questions about this policy?
Reach us directly — we'll respond in writing within one working day.
