TCR classroom with students facing a chalkboard

Built by an NLU Alumnus. Built for Future Lawyers.

TCR was founded with one belief—that every serious law aspirant deserves structured mentorship, practical strategies, and guidance from people who've already walked the path.

A Brand by NLU Alumnus

Why TCR Exists

Instead of another coaching institute, TCR was built to solve the gaps students face during law entrance preparation—confusing strategies, inconsistent mentorship, and overwhelming information. Every program is designed around clarity, discipline, and personal guidance from experienced mentors.

The Mind Behind TCR

Shivam Thakur, founder of TCR

Shivam Thakur

Founder & Lead Faculty

NLU Shimla Alumnus

Shivam Thakur secured AIR 81 in CLAT and graduated from Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla. While mentoring aspiring law students, he realized that most didn't lack resources—they lacked consistent guidance. In 2017, he founded TCR with a simple belief: success in CLAT comes from mentorship, not just lectures. Today, with three centers in Delhi, an all-NLU alumni faculty, and AIR 1 in AILET 2026, TCR continues to help students achieve their best through structured preparation and personalized mentorship.

A Minute with the Founder

Every great institution begins with a simple belief. In this one-minute conversation, Shivam Thakur shares the vision behind TCR, why mentorship matters more than lectures, and the principles that continue to guide every student who walks through our doors.

Every mentor at TCR sat the same exam they now teach.

Every faculty member is an alumnus of a National Law University. They studied contract law the way they now teach legal reasoning — from first principles, not from a coaching manual. When they tell a student a passage has a two-move structure, they know it because they wrote two-move answers in an NLU exam hall three years ago.

One honest number, not an inflated aggregate.

We don't publish a total-selections figure with an asterisk. What we publish is what we can actually verify — a specific student, a specific rank, a specific year, in a specific exam. For the fuller results wall — 100+ named students with photo, exam, rank, and college — see our Rankers page.
