Official list ↗The CUET model, minus the confusion
A language paper, two to four domain subjects, and the General Test if your programme asks for it. Your combination — not just your score — decides which courses you can apply to.
TCR's roleWe run a combination clinic before you lock the NTA form, mapped to your target universities.
NTA conducts CUET once a year with +5/−1 marking. Every paper is NCERT-rooted, so accuracy beats coverage. One exam replaces a dozen university-specific tests.
TCR's roleWeekly mocks scored the CUET way, so negative marking never surprises you on exam day.
Universities admit through their own counselling — DU via CSAS, others through their portals. Normalised scores, programme preferences and rounds decide your campus.
TCR's roleWe stay with you through counselling: shortlists, preference order, and round-wise strategy.
Subject portfolio
TCR coaches the papers students actually sit — Language and General Test as cores, plus domain subjects across humanities and social sciences. Legal Studies remains available when that is your programme path.
Section I
Reading, vocabulary, and tone — the paper every combination needs.
Section III
GK, quantitative aptitude, and logical reasoning for GT-required programmes.
Domain
NCERT-rooted polity for BA and interdisciplinary routes.
Domain
Timeline depth without rote dumps — themes that recur in PYQs.
Domain
Micro + macro clarity for commerce and social-science mixes.
Domain
Concepts and thinkers taught for accuracy under +5/−1.
Domain · optional
One path among many — for students targeting law programmes via CUET.
Counselling
We map Language + Domains ± GT to your university shortlist before you lock the form.
What is CUET UG?
CUET UG is India's largest undergraduate entrance, run by the NTA. It is the route into DU, BHU, JMI, AMU and 100+ central and participating universities — across BA, B.Com, BA LL.B and many other programmes. Students combine a Language paper, optional domain subjects, and often the General Test. TCR builds each combination deliberately: subject depth where the domain paper decides ranks, and attempt strategy for the +5/−1 marking that punishes reckless guessing.
| Section | Questions | Marks | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Section IA/IB — Language | 50 (attempt 40) | 200 | varies |
| Section II — Domain subject(s) | 50 (attempt 40) each | 200 each | varies |
| Section III — General Test | 60 (attempt 50) | 250 | optional |
MCQ · +5 correct · −1 wrong · choose which questions to attempt. Programme cutoffs depend on the exact Language + Domain ± GT mix your target university requires.
Why TCR for CUET
We coach CUET as a subject portfolio — Language, GT, and domain papers — not a law-only funnel with a CUET sticker. Your combination gets a timetable, not a generic batch lecture.
Accuracy under sharp negatives beats volume. Mentors drill leave-strategies and section timing so one reckless paper does not erase a strong domain score.
DU, BHU, JMI and peers weight combinations differently. We map your subjects to realistic programme shortlists before you lock the form.
Same small-batch accountability as our other programmes — weekly diagnostics, error logs, and mentors who notice when a subject is drifting.
