What is AIBE?
The All India Bar Examination is conducted by the Bar Council of India and is the qualifying test a law graduate must clear to obtain the Certificate of Practice — the licence to appear in Indian courts. Open-book, 100 questions, 3.5 hours, 23-subject BCI syllabus. Passing threshold: 45% (General/OBC), 40% (SC/ST). It is not a memory test — it is a locating-under-time-pressure test.
| Section | Questions | Marks | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| 23 subjects — full BCI syllabus | 100 | 100 | 100% |
Open-book · 3h 30min · No negative marking · Available in English + 10 regional languages. 23 subjects include Constitutional Law, Contract, Family, Criminal Law + CrPC, Civil Procedure, Evidence, ADR, Company Law, Environmental Law, Labour Law, and 13 others.
Why TCR for AIBE
Every mentor is a practising or recently-called advocate who has cleared AIBE. They teach from what actually worked under the 3.5-hour clock.
AIBE isn't about memorising 23 subjects — it's about knowing which bare-act page to open in 30 seconds. Our programme builds the indexing habit; every candidate leaves with an annotated, tabbed reference set.
Most AIBE candidates are practising or interning full-time. Our programme runs weekends + recorded sessions, calibrated to 4–6 hours per week.
No aspirational marketing, no ranking language. AIBE has one job: qualify to practise. Our programme has one job: get you across, comfortably.

Questions students actually ask
Any LL.B. graduate from a BCI-approved institution enrolled with a State Bar Council. No age limit; no cap on attempts.
Yes — carry bare acts, commentaries, and printed notes. Preparation is about building an indexing system, not memorising. 3.5 hours is fair if you can locate provisions under 60 seconds.
45% for General/OBC; 40% for SC/ST/PwD. No rank system — AIBE is pass/fail.
Unlimited. Most candidates aim to clear on the first or second.
Not strictly — the syllabus is your LL.B. syllabus. But an open-book paper across 23 subjects is deceptively hard. A structured 6–8-week programme typically compresses 3 months of self-study.
6–10 weeks × 4–6 hours/week for a recent graduate. Add 4 weeks if 3+ years out of law school.
A 6–8-week weekend programme, taught by advocates who cleared AIBE. Online + Delhi offline.
